On Tuesday, April 18, the Rotary E-Club is hosting a Zoom conference at 9 p.m. CET (Central Europe
Time)
on the topic: A few grams of Artemisia – a game changer in the fight against
malaria.
We have the honor to invite Doctor Lucile Cornet-Vernet, Founding President of the Maison de
the Artemisia whose missions are double:

  • Accelerate research on Osane from Artemisia, an ancestral treatment against malaria;
  • Supervise its distribution in countries where malaria is endemic through the Maisons de l'Artemisia, local centers of expertise that coordinate knowledge and distribution of the plant.

Malaria remains the leading cause of death from infectious diseases, causing up to 600,000 deaths per year. +600,000 deaths each year, including 80% of children under 5 years old and records 241 million
cases in 2019 according to WHO figures, including 95% in Africa.

3 billion people live in areas infested with malaria and specifically for the whole of Africa, has an estimated cost of 1.7 growth points.

During this conference, Lucille Cornet-Vernet will tell us about her personal commitment to "healing beyond oneself" in the deployment of Artemisia as a complementary solution against malaria.
