EnfantsFor some time now, the association Against Tuberculosis and Endemic Diseases (ACTUME) has been organizing a solidarity dinner every year. This is a meeting which allows all those interested in the association to have information relating to its activities.

M. Jacques KOSSOWSKIMr Jacques KOSSOWKI, Mayor of Courbevoie declares, in the opening speech:

“… Bring medication, yes, but not just any! The drugs we give should be of good quality… The difficulty is to have relays on site. So I am counting on the Consul General of Senegal and on all the personalities present here to help us have local relays. We prefer to have associations which have relays in Africa, like you, ACTUME… ”. Watch the video : https://youtu.be/7KWUc7l0mcA

Mme Marie-Pierre LIMOGEIn addition, Mrs. Marie-Pierre LIMOGE, 1st Deputy Mayor of Courbevoie affirmed that:

“The charitable dimension goes through the youngest, there is an organization at the Hauts-de-Seine departmental council called Jeunes Solidaires which works in particular in the direction of African countries in the field of health. This proves that we need young people to act in this area with all their sincerity ”. She continues between “Courbevoie and Africa, in particular with Mauritania, it is a story of a true friendship…” Video: https://youtu.be/NoGNFMePqzE

SEM Amadou DIALLOOtherwise, HE Mr. Amadou DIALLO, Consul of Senegal in France, said the following:

“Between Mauritania and Senegal, there is a river, as I said very recently, the river has never been a border between our two countries. It is not an obstacle, it is really a place of life, a very strong bond between the two countries. I am Senegalese and I come to this party, because I also consider myself from Tékane. Whether we are on the side of Mauritania or Senegal, we have the same socio-economic reality, the same difficulties. I wanted to be there, on behalf of the government of Senegal, to thank you for this outpouring of solidarity ”.

He continues: “I welcome the presence of my brother Amadou DIA, the godfather of this beautiful evening. I also greet Mrs. SENE, née Banel THIELLO, ambassador of the Tékane Community Pharmacy project ”. Video : https://youtu.be/qwaTxuL6_-I

Mme Aurélie TAQUILLAINFinally Mrs Aurélie TAQUILLAIN, municipal councilor at the town hall of Courbevoie, adds:

“I know the importance of the work you do in the fight against tuberculosis and endemic diseases. Health is a crucial issue: crucial for today, because we must treat and restore hope to today's patients; and crucial for tomorrow, because we must at the same time prevent new people from falling ill and we must therefore act upstream, in the field of prevention and information of populations ”.

She continues: “In the future, I wish to continue to act in favor of associations, and in particular those which, like ACTUME, are involved in an area as important as health. You honor values that are dear to me. Values which are at the origin of my political commitment: I want to talk about solidarity, fraternity, humanism, in a word, living together ... To conclude, I have only one word for you , thank you, thank you to all of you ”. Read the speech.

Special mention to the organizers

The organizing committees lived up to expectations as every year. The ACTUME Île de France section has done a remarkable job. We were thus able to notice the dedication of the group of women who provided the delicious evening meal, of the heads of branches, members and sympathizers who took action to ensure the smooth running of the Gala. Special congratulations to all who came with their car and help with the transport.

Our special thanks to Sabine DELONGEAS who has been there since the creation of ACTUME for its commitment, its openness and its selflessness. Our thanks also go to Ibrahima ANNE for his action within the association and our solidarity artists.

Why the Community Pharmacy project and valuation of medicinal plants in Tékane?

Pharmacie communautaire de TékaneRegarding the community pharmacy and medicinal plant enhancement project around which this gala was organized, it is the extension of our previous activities which revolved around health caravans. It will facilitate access to healthcare for all by making the community pharmacy a place of orientation, information and discussion, devoted to the health of the most disadvantaged. Likewise, it will improve the level of health and ensure continuous prevention in the city.

This pharmacy is a continuation of the program carried out in Mauritania by the association ACTUME from 2010 to 2016: "Program for the loyalty of tuberculosis patients lost to follow-up and sensitization of the population of the municipality of Tékane, in Mauritania," about tuberculosis .

This program made it possible to support dozens of patients and consult more than 17,000 patients for a population of 23,823 inhabitants of the municipality of Tékane. Beyond the initial program, the pharmacy project will provide an extensive and permanent health service for all the diseases encountered during the various health caravans. "

In addition to the pharmacy project itself, this project includes a training space, a social space, an ecological dimension (reprocessing and solar) and an area relating to research in the field of phytotherapeutic cultivation and reforestation. In short, it will be a space for social ties, awareness of ecological issues, research and innovation.

We warmly thank our members, supporters and partners for their confidence in this unprecedented adventure and ask you to relay the hash tag #PharmacieTekane on your respective social networks and to direct your contacts to the community pharmacy site. https://actume.org/pharmacie/
